FURTHER PRINPOST INCREASES AVERTED - APRIL 2011
Our industry was advised late February 2011 of the pricing changes to the Print Post service, something that the staff at D&D Mailing Services had been working with Australia Post on since August 2010.
Luckily for the industry the staff at D&D read the fine print, some discreet changes had been made by Australia Post that would have changed the weighted average price increase to be much higher than the promulgated 3.1%.
Because of our partnered relationship with Australia Post and our thorough knowledge of the postal system then we challenged the promulgated changes, Australia Post agreed with our appraisal and rescinded them accordingly. This has now been confirmed by Australia Post in writing quote: "An error has recently been identified in information published by Australia Post regarding the forthcoming changes to the Print Post service due to take effect on the 1st April 2011. It was a simple mistake, very difficult to spot and our company was the only organization in Australia that highlighted the problem to Australia Post which saved the industry hundreds of thousands of dollars per annum. |
